I have been a fire buff for quite a long time. My grandfather used to take me to some good fires in Woonsocket, RI as a child. He also gave me my first crystal Bearcat 8 channel scanner. I have had the love of fire fighting since.
I became involved in the fire service in 1992 in a suburb of Buffalo, NY. I was hired by the Town of Lincoln, RI in 1997, made Lieutenant in 2002, and then Captain in 2005. I run on Rescue 4 in the Lonsdale section of the town.
I belong to the Providence Citywide Fire Buff Club as C-316, run an online live scanner feed called Scanri.net, and also on the State of RI USAR Team as a communications specialist.
I recently had my work published on the Worcester Telegram Newspaper, Firehouse Magazine.com, and 1st Responder Newspaper. I also have photos posted on Working Firefighters Website and the International Organization of Fire Photography's Website.
I am using a Canon EOS 40D SLR Digital Camera 10.1 Megapixel, SLR, Digital Camera Body. I am using a Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 L IS USM Lens and a Canon EF-S 17-85mm IS USM AF Lens with a Canon 580EX II Speedlite TTL Shoe Mount Flash.
